In terms of an existing MOU, at the request of the Auditor General of Maldives (SAI
Maldives), the Comptroller & Auditor General of India (SAI India) has agreed to
support professional development of the senior staff members of SAI Maldives. The
programme will be in an internship format. The details are as follows.

|
|
Expose the interns to auditing standards, manuals, work Practices and methodologies
followed by SAI India in the conduct of its financial & performance audits to enable
technology transfer
|
|
|
|
|
|
6 weeks starting from 27 July 2009
|
|
|
|
|
|
A total of 10 interns will be taken, 7 at Delhi and 3 at Mumbai. At any time only
1 intern will be attached with one office however this is subject to the final selection
of the audit teams to which the interns will be attached
|
|
|
Schedule:
|
|
|
|
1. One week orientation for all the interns at iCISA New Delhi: Mandate, organisational
structure, auditing standards, reporting and follow up in SAI India.
2. 3 week internship with an ongoing performance audit.
3. 2 week internship with an ongoing financial audit
